Whilst the recent Xbox Games Showcase was undoubtedly about the newest titles to hit our shelves in the coming months, what really gets us going is the reveal of some brand-new Xbox consoles to get our grubby mitts on. So, without further ado, let’s introduce ourselves to these brand new bits of Xbox Series kit.
Xbox Series S – 1TB – Robot White
The first of this new line of consoles is the Xbox Series S, 1TB version. Inspired by 2023’s release of the very same console but in sleek Carbon Black, this Robot White version of the expanded Xbox Series S is perfect for those needing a little extra space on their hard-drive, but don’t want to upgrade to the increased power of the Series X. And when October’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases with a 300GB+ download, you’ll be glad you picked this one up!
As is the case with every Series X|S console, the Xbox Series S 1TB features the likes of Quick Resume, rapid load-times, and up to 120 FPS gameplay that we have become familiar with since the Xbox Series consoles dropped in late-2022. Keep in mind that this one doesn’t have a disc-drive to boot.
Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition – Robot White
What the Series line-up has lacked thus far is the existence of a purely digital Xbox Series X, to accompany the Xbox Series S consoles that typically lack the disc-drive. Well, lack no more, as the Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition is dropping later this year, in pristine Robot White. With 1TB of SSD storage, think of this like the aforementioned Xbox Series S – 1TB – Robot White, just with a bit more oomph (and a higher price tag of course!).
4K resolution, Quick Resume, fast loading times – it’s got all the bells and whistles that the most powerful Xbox console ever has always come with.
Xbox Series X – 2TB Special Edition – Galaxy Black
Now THIS one is a real looker. The Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition will be the centerpiece of any living room, adorned with green sparkles all across the faceplate. The most powerful, quickest Xbox console to date, this special Xbox Series X comes packed with 2TB SSD, ensuring that whatever you are playing, you’ll find room for it on your hard-drive.
Alongside the console comes the matching Galaxy Black Xbox Wireless Controller, with extra sparkles and green highlights. It’ll come free with your console, if you decide to pick this one up when it releases later this year.
