Think of nothing but slogging yourself half to death across three weeks of some of the most intense of all sporting activities? It’s that which you’ll be attempting as the pedals of perfection go for glory in Tour de France 2024.

Available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC, Tour de France 2024 is the latest in the annual releases of the official videogame of the greatest of Grand Tours.

If you’re a peloton captain, a yellow jersey chaser, or have the power of Cav, Tour de France 2024 will appeal to anyone with an inkling of interest in the world of cycling. And whilst we’ve not yet found a Tour de France game capable of bringing the three week odyssey of sweat to the virtual world in the finest way, we’re always here, ready to go back for more.

Landing alongside Pro Cycling Manager 2024 on PC – and if you want to know more about how the two games differ, take a look at our Tour de France vs Pro Cycling Manager article.

Get cycling

Dive in and you’ll be given the chance to compete as a rider (or riders) in this year’s TDF. With real-world cyclsts front and centre, the teams that push them along, and all the stages of the 2024 Tour, this is about as close to the real-world action as you are likely to get. The question is, are you going to dominate like Tadej, look for some podium places as Geraint Thomas, or concentrate on the sprints with the fastest man ever to ride a bike – Mark Cavendish.

More than just a race, Tour de France 2024 looks to build on the likes of Tour de France 2023, TDF 22 and more, with a Criterium mode, set up for multiplayer bike racing. We’re excited to see how that goes, if only as we love a bit of Crit. We’ll let you know how it goes in our full review of Tour de France 2024 on Xbox soon.

Whether you’re a seasoned Tour de France veteran or a curious newcomer, Tour de France 2024 promises to be the most unforgettable cycling journey. Get ready to shave those virtual legs, prepare your chamois and slap on the lycra, all as you experience the thrill of the Tour de France like never before!

  • Start in Pro Team and Pro Leader mode directly in a World Tour or Pro Team team

Tour de France 2024 Description

Race against players from all over the world in the new Criterium multiplayer mode. Take part in online races with up to 6 players and execute your strategy to win the race. Create a team of 2 riders from over 900 professional cyclists available and choose your rider outfit. Every week, play Criterium mode to try and unlock bonus content for your team. New professional riders and World Tour team jerseys will be available to help you customize your team. Adapt your strategy based on the stage characteristics. Each game is different and is an opportunity to implement unique tactics. In multiplayer, the Col du Galibier can be climbed with your mountain team and with a sprint team. The type of riders that can be used applies to all players and is randomized before the game starts. You need to find the best strategy based on the course characteristics and prove you’re the best on any terrain. Each game is equally important and must be played at full tilt. Your place at the finish line determines the number of points you earn. The better your performance, the faster you complete the achievement and unlock legendary riders.
