Stop horsing around! Kairosoft drop a simulation bundle onto Xbox consoles

-

If you have been keeping up with the antics of developers Kairosoft in the last few months, then you’ll know that they like to release things in bunches. Recently, we’ve seen such indies drop as a duo, a trio, a set of four, or even a crowd of five games all at once.

This time around, we have a decision between two games to make. Will we head to the printing press in Magazine Mogul, or take a trip to the races in Pocket Stables? Or… why not both?!

Mag Madness

Magazine Mogul
Magazine Mogul is on Xbox

Now available on Xbox platforms for the first time, following on from prior releases on PlayStation, PC and Switch, Magazine Mogul sees you take control of your own printing press, as you hope to print both mags and cash to improve your business. You’ll have to decide what news stories to run, the unique features present in each publication, and of course get all pally with the big-whigs of your local town, in order to drum up support. Who knows? Maybe one day you’ll win that coveted Magazine Award!

You can pick up Magazine Mogul on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. Find it on the Xbox Store for £9.99.

Magazine Mogul Description

Pocket Stables
A bit of horse racing?

On the other side of the Kairosoft fence this time around is Pocket Stables. Much like Magazine Mogul, this is a pixelated simulation game in which you breed and train a stable of racehorses, and rake in the cash at race day.

You’ll need to identify the best pedigree combinations from your bred horses, as well as manage your ranch by upgrading its facilities. Soon enough, the income made from tourists to the ranch may just outweigh any dollar made from race prizes, so a fine balance is key.

Once again, Pocket Stables is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. You can find it on the Xbox Store for £9.99.

Pocket Stables Description

Manage a ranch while training your racehorses to race for a Triple Crown.

Manage your very own ranch while training your racehorses to win big in exciting races!

Build training facilities like dirt courses and pools amidst the beautiful natural surroundings of your ranch. Increase your ranch’s fame and entice visitors to spend some dough at your ranch’s amenities, like ice cream stands and gift shops.

Find horses with the right combination of stamina and speed and intensity and train them to race. Keep winning races to earn bigger and better prizes, as well as the ability to compete in even bigger and more exciting races on an international scale.

Send once-great racehorses out to stud. Find effective pedigree combinations and breed a new generation of talented colts.

Can you train a Triple Crown winner and bring fame and glory to your ranch?
