Fans of retro platforming puzzlers, with spikes and flame traps aplenty, must surely check out Prison of Illusion.

Magic Castles to Explore

Available now on Xbox consoles as a Cross-Gen Bundle, Prison of Illusion sees you step into the shoes of a dashing white-haired vampire that wouldn’t look out of place in Devil May Cry, if you catch our drift. The original game released a month or so ago.

Out and about on a normal walk through the forest, our protagonist encounters a mysterious castle looming over him, and decides to investigate. What follows is a journey through this magical and dangerous mansion, with the only way out being by overcoming a variety of traps and obstacles.

So, do you have what it takes to work through the many levels on offer from developer DERIK D.F, and make it out of the castle in one piece? There’s only one way to find out!

Play Today

Available now on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Prison of Illusion Cross-Gen Bundle will set you back a mere £4.99 via the Xbox Store. There’s a Series X|S optimised version of the game now too.

However, if you want to check out some more games from DERIK D.F, Prison of Illusion also comes as part of a bundle of titles. Pick up the ‘Gold Edition’ for Prison of Illusion for £8.39, and you’ll also be able to download Green Soldiers Heroes as well as Super Snake Block DX

The ‘Ultimate Edition’ of Prison of Illusion costs £12.49, and contains a bundle of four games, with SHMUP Mania also thrown in for good measure.

Prison of Illusion Description

A young white-haired vampire was walking through the darkness of the forest and saw a large castle on top of the mountain. He then decides to go inside and explore the environment. But he discovers that the magic present in the castle makes him trapped. Help the young vampire overcome traps, challenges and find the way out.
