The latest expansion to Age of Wonders 4 – the intricate real-time strategy title released on Xbox in May 2023 – goes by the name of Eldritch Realms. With new maps, mounts, traits, rulers and more, this aims to properly flesh out your AOW 4 experience, and will have you terrifying your adversaries as the Eldritch Sovereign.
The Umbral Abyss
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, Age of Wonders 4: Eldritch Realms throws us into a new location known as the Umbral Abyss.
This mystical realm has corrupted the Eldritch Sovereigns that you will be playing as in this expansion, with the presence of a new event – the Cosmic Happenings – in which you can show off your new Eldritch powers! In addition to this, you’ll be able to use two new Forms, such as a faction of Insects, or indeed the iconic Age of Wonders Syrons.
Add to this a range of new cosmetics, mounts and much more to enjoy, but that’s not all! Regardless of if you decide to purchase Age of Wonders 4 – Eldritch Realms, all AOW 4 players will gain access to the free Mystic Update, including a rework of the Mystic Culture.
