Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 35 – Spring

-

The final week of the Modern Horizons theme for Series 35 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in Forza Horizon 5 has dawned with Spring. The question is, can we finish strong or will we limp over the line?

Well, there’s only one way to find out, and so I invite you to join me in Modern Horizons for the final time as I bring the cars and tunes that should see you complete the series in style.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Do the Unexpected

TheLynk & Co 03+ is the subject of this week’s car challenge. I have to admit, I’ve never really heard of this car outside of a video game, so I don’t know a massive amount about it!

Should you not have one already, go and buy it from the Autoshow – they will exchange it for 40,000 of your credits.

Chapter 1 – Lucky Lynk

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.

Chapter 2 – A Little Treat

Spend 60,000 on upgrades. The share name for mine is “Lynk” with my GT, Red620T. It’s a bit of a monster!

Chapter 3 – Sedan in the Streets

Now win a street race – shouldn’t be an issue!

Take a photo! Again, should be easy enough.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 35.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, two Eventlabs, PR Stunts, races, who could ask for more?

The Trial – Extreme Road Trip

Time to play as a team. I know I say it every week, but hopefully sooner or later someone will notice…

We need an Extreme E car, tuned to A Class 800. I like the No.44 X44, share code : 164790581.

Let’s hope the racing gods smile on this week, as we attempt to win a TVR!

Eventlab 1 – GT Deny Presents Old Bridge Rally Stage

Unlimited Offroad cars and A Class 800 mean it is time for the Jeep Trailcat, share code : 118411445.

A long and involved course, this was pretty good fun to drive, especially in that Jeep!

A McLaren 600LT is the prize.

Eventlab 2 – XRCOSWORTH01 Presents Gummy Bear Circuit

We need a Modern Rally car tuned to B Class 700, and so I went with the Mitsubishi Evo VIII MR, share code : 141172186.

Quite a fun course, although there is a special place in hell for anyone who puts brick walls on the apex of corners – or even worse, makes a chicane out of them!

Take away a Lambo Huracan as a reward.

PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Desert Dunes

This week, all the PR stunts need the same car, an S2 Class 998 car. Any car!

Making a clean sweep, the BMW X5M FE is the car of choice. The share code for mine is : 519084427. A distance of over 460m will see us win. Take a loooooooong run up!

Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

PR Stunt 2 – Drift Zone – Costera

Sliding in an S2 Class car means a stock Hoonigan Hoonicorn for me. We need to score over 100,000 drift points to win and unfortunately the dirt surface makes it a little trickier than usual.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Audi Feel about This?

Groan.

Weirdly, we need a Pickup or 4X4 vehicle, tuned to C Class 600. I chose a Ford SVT Raptor from 2011 with share code : X139383916.

For winning out, we can take home an Audi TTS.

Seasonal Championship 2 – City Focus

We need to grab a Japanese car from the 2010s, tune it all the way up to B Class 700, and then do some slow racing. I chose a Subaru BRZ and the share code is : 139235813.

The prize for winning is a Ford Focus ‘17.

Seasonal Championship 3 – Woo-Hoon!

We need an Extreme Track Toy from the 2010s, tuned to S2 Class 998 for this event, and so it is the trusty Bugatti Divo I turned to. Share code : 169915677.

We can take home a Zenvo ST1. Never heard of it? Me neither!

Part 3: Other Challenges

Talk about going out with a whimper, Spring sees us take a photo and then doing some Horizon Tour. That’s it!

Photo Challenge – #TOPOFTHEWORLD

Take a photo of any of the Lamborghinis in the game, at La Gran Caldera. Easy enough, I think, and I may even use my shiny new Urus!

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A new Pop Up Headlight horn. What could be better?

Horizon Tour – Co-Op Championships

You know the score I’m sure by now – we have to engage in three races against driverbots, then two point to point races against our human foes. Simples! No tunes as it could be any class sadly.

Do this alone or with others, and a whole 8 points can be yours. So generous!

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Rockslide

We need to grab an S2 Class 998 car, any car, and do some sliding – so the Hoonicorn is up again.

The target is 180,000 drift points.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. How many of these things do you have?

Seasonal Championship – Charging Up to Win

We need a Modern Supercar from the 2020s here, and it needs to be tuned to S1 Class 900.

I chose a Corvette Stingray Coupe from 2020 from the not very wide selection, and the share code is 846887118.

Completing the championship will get us a Porsche Macan Turbo.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Crateres Secos

Anything Goes and S2 Class 998 are the limits here, and it is the BMW X5M FE let out to play – yes, again. The share code for mine is : 519084427.

We need to average over 74 mph through the zone.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Feeling Right at Home

We need a car from the UK, and the tuning limit is A Class 800. I went with a Bentley Bentayga (not very British) and the share code is : 118484657. For a big old tractor, this thing can shift!

The reward for racing? A Chevrolet Camaro. Not noticeably British either…

The rewards for Series 35 and Spring in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 35 at the end, the road to the new cars for the month should be in sight. And they are the KIA EV6 GT for 80 points and a Raesr TS for 160 points. The Kia should be nestling in your garage right about now, and now the chase begins for that Raesr…Last chance this week!

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 35, but a reduced number – only 2 this month. San Juan Scramble for real engines, and Linea Costera Sprint for battery powered cars. Post a clean lap on each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.

Grab enough points and Series 35 Spring also sees you given access to the exclusive Porsche Taycan CT for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get the No.14 Ford Fiesta, a hard to find car apparently.

Series 36 next week, and while I don’t know much about what to expect (the surprise is always good) the theme is Cars and Coffee! Well, I like both of those things, so I’ll be sure to check it out.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
