What’s better than fighting your way through a dark dungeon world? Well, how about being able to drop in some interior design as you go!? That’s the premise behind the upcoming launch of Cozy Dungeons.
Created by the indie team at Them Handsome Fellas, Cozy Dungeons is an adventure game with a difference as it channels some interior design magic along the way. Yep, this is the most extreme of all home makeovers, providing you the opportunity to explore, to clear and then to transform the world around you. Do so, and profit and design dominance will be yours.
Fight or furnish?
Set to launch on PC and console (Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch) in 2025, Cozy Dungeons sees you taking on the role of the leader of a monster extermination guild. From there you head on off onto a journey into the heart of some mob-infested dungeons, hunting treasure and combat. But that’s not where your reward lies, for aside from your handy sword, you’ll find yourself kitted out with a magic furniture-making book too.
And you know what magic furniture-making books are good for? Yep, unleashing your inner design expertise, helping transform caves and crypts into the most cozy of spaces. With clients hiding away in the depths of the dungeons, you’ll be left to make the most of an array of furniture pieces, fixtures and more. You know, it’s just like House Flipper 2 – but different.
There’s a bit of a story going on in this one too, focusing on the disappearance of your father, along with several other guild members. It’ll be up to you to uncover the answers to this mystery, navigating enchanted talking doors within the guild, which can be unlocked by renovating dungeons and earning magical stones. You’ll also happen across characters that provide you with quests and unlock stations that upgrade your tools as you progress. These former guild members will encourage your new-found passion for interior design by channelling their former monster-slaying skills into friendlier ventures such as furniture building and designing new outfits.
