We’ve seen the likes of Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Lilo & Stitch and many other Disney franchises be the star of a season of Disney Speedstorm, but who is it next to inspire the newest season of the free-to-play kart-racer? Well, the hint is ‘Journey of Emotions’. Got it? Well, it’s of course Inside Out, the Pixar film focused on exploring your emotions. But how does it translate to the racer? Let’s find out!
New Racers Take to the Field
Available today on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC, Season 8 of Disney Speedstorm brings a host of new racers and accompanying Crew Members to the game, all from the hit film Inside Out.
Take to the track with Joy, Disgust, Anger, Fear, Sadness and two mystery racers to be revealed, and the likes of Happy Riley, Sad Riley, Scared Riley, Angry Riley, Disgusted Riley, Riley’s Mom and Riley’s Dad will be able to help out as all-important Crew Members.
Each racer can be upgraded as you play, and taken through solo or multiplayer racing. There’s also a brand-new Racing Environment brought to the game, again inspired by the film, of course.
As well as these new inclusions, developers Gameloft have also introduced a brand-new mode to the racer, by the name of Team Battle. This one sees two teams of three racers battle against each other, with the team victorious receiving a whole host of rewards.
Finally, Ranked Races and a new Player Rank progression and reward system provide the opportunity for you to become the best of the best, and show this off too!
