In an interesting twist to the tower defense genre, in Block Tower TD you create the world yourself, from scratch. This adds an element of uniqueness to every run, making this a roguelike X tower defense title. Read on for more details!

Upgrades Galore!

Now available on Xbox, just a few short weeks after the original launch onto Steam, Block Tower TD comes to us from the folks at MyDreamForever and Tazdraperm. 

Block-by-block, you’ll create your own world, after which you’ll be placing down defensive units to defend against incoming waves of enemies. A fine balance between attacking power, and spaces left to harvest resources for further developments, must be struck if you want to go far. 

Similarly, the order in which upgrades are dealt to you is influenced by your actions within the game – do you pick upgrades to bolster your defences early, or perhaps look to maximise your resource earning potential before the waves get even more difficult?

Key Features

• CREATING THE WORLD – The world consists of blocks that you can place anywhere. Thanks to this, you will be able to think over a defense plan.
• BUILD TOWERS – Tower locations are the most important aspect in tower defense games. This aspect becomes even more valuable in Block Tower: you can build towers on high ground, leave free blocks for resource extraction or later strong towers. In addition, all towers have an experience bar, the earlier you build it, the stronger it will be in the late game.
• CHOOSE UPGRADES – The order in which upgrades are chosen in each game is very important. You can choose resource-based upgrades, magic tower upgrades, or upgrades for strong early defense, which will allow you to safely move into the late game. Combined with randomly generated blocks, this gives infinite replay value.
• RESOURCE MINING – Think over your economic strategy. Early construction of economic buildings is risky, but gives a big boost in the late game. The random location of resources in each game sets new strategic questions that you will have to answer each time.
