Royal Defense storms onto Xbox

Think you have what it takes to defend your kingdom from hordes of trolls? You’ll get to prove it in Royal Defense as it storms onto Xbox.

It’s going to be a case of conquer or be conquered in Royal Defense, all as it lands on Xbox. Playable across Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for £10.74, this is the latest from the team at 8floor Games, as they try to corner a new gaming niche.

A new 8floor gaming experience

You may know of 8floor. They’ve been behind a host of management and resource gathering games, most recently with the launch of New Lands and New Lands 2. Royal Defense then – at least from the outside looking in – feels like the start of a whole new chapter; a tower defense chapter.

It has you attempting to navigate the troubles of some sixty different stages, as you play towers and structures, trying to hold back the trolls that are forthcoming. With a magic system to enjoy, various game settings, multiple creatures to bat back, and a good dozen towers to utilise, Royal Defense should have the resources to provide a decent gaming hit.

Of course, only will a combination of the tools available, plus your strategic and tactical skills, prove to be the key to any success.

Key features

  • 60 different progressively challenging levels
  • 3 unique game settings
  • 17 kinds of creatures
  • 12 kinds of towers and structures
  • Extensive magic system
  • Various upgrades
  • Fascinating gameplay

Royal Defense is downloadable from the Xbox Store, playable from there on out on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
