The team at Microids are making a bit of a name for themselves, focusing on the tales of Agatha Christie with a host of gaming options. Now they have confirmed that they will be bringing Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express to PC and console very soon.
Hot on the heels of a summer release of Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The London Case, will come Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express, as the Microids team and their Lyon studio get to work on one of the most famous of all tales.
A modernised and revisited version of the Christie classic, Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express will be set in 2023, bringing new life to the story. It promises to add all-new elements to proceedings, building on the original story as players get the chance to rediscover one of Hercule Poirot’s most famous of cases.
But when will we get the chance to play through this detective tale? Well, Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express is due to release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC in Q4 2023.
When it does release it’ll take us on board the Orient Express, as the legendary detective Hercule Poirot tries to solve the murder that has taken place on the prestigious train while surrounded by a cast of intriguing characters with their own secrets and motives. Solving the mystery won’t be easy and only by taking in numerous twists and turns will players get to the bottom of things, utilising their little grey cells as well as detective skills to unravel the truth and bring it to light.
Whether you are a fan of the iconic book or movies, a lover of murder mysteries, or just looking for a thrilling adventure, we would think that this Orient Express tale will have something for everyone.

- Faithful, but augmented: The game is a faithful but augmented adaptation of the original story, with a new character named Joanna Locke added to the mix. With her, you can regularly exit the train environment during playable flashbacks.
- Embody the legendary detective Hercule Poirot: Enter into Hercule Poirot’s head to discover mind maps and make deductions, adding an extra layer of depth to the gameplay. And don’t forget the many puzzles with object manipulations that are scattered throughout each chapter.

Murder On the Express is renowned for having one of the best plot twists in literary history, and this game is no exception. But this time, set in 2023, you will lead your investigation in a whole new light.

In a 3rd person view, you will inspect the sets and talk to all the protagonists, searching for clues and confronting the suspects.
